From September 21 to 24, 2026, the Marriott in Downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will host the Annual IEEE IAS PCIC Technical Conference. The event brings together electrical engineering professionals focused on industrial electrical installations, operations, and safety within the petroleum and chemical industries.
A standout feature of this year’s conference is the expanded thematic scope toward energy transition, with technical papers now covering electrification of fossil-fueled processes, sustainable and bio-based fuels, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen and ammonia production, large-scale renewable generation, and energy storage systems — reflecting the industry’s evolving challenges.
Unlike a trade show, PCIC is a strictly commercial-free technical forum offering access to over 50 papers and 8 tutorials. Attendees can earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Professional Development Hours (PDHs) accredited by IEEE.
